Bluejacket: Odyssey Oddities - Defining Narratives in Craft Beer w/GBH

  • Bluejacket

RSVP required. EVENT IS NOW FULL.

Bluejacket hosts Good Beer Hunting as they present: Odyssey/Oddities — defining narratives in craft beer
Breweries have historically united to tell the story of "craft beer" as they work together to build the category and create an educated consumer. But in the past few years, the emphasis has shifted to the uniqueness of the individual journey, and how one brewery differs from another as they both collaborate and compete for the same customers.

Join Bluejacket and Good Beer Hunting for a short presentation and panel discussion with GBH's storytellers and representatives from breweries as we discuss the similarities and differences between these approaches — and try to determine what's at stake for the next generation of storytelling in American beer.

Panelists:
Michael Kiser, GBH Founder + Creative Director
Erin Jones, Marketing Director, Burial Beer Co.
Josh Hambright, Central State Brewing, co-founder
Matthew Curtis, GBH storyteller, podcast host
Kyle Kastranec, GBH designer and storyteller

DC Brau: Baroness concert @ 9:30 Club

  • 9:30 Club

This year, DC Brau's 6th Anniversary and the 2017 Craft Brewer’s Conference fall on the same week in the same city. They're celebrating by throwing a show for local and visiting friends with favorite band…..BARONESS!!!!!

Please join DC Brau along with Country Malt, SkaFab, Meheen, and Wild Goose on Wednesday April 12th for an evening with Grammy Nominated Baroness and local post rock originators Trans Am, as they take over the 9:30 club.

THIS IS THE ONLY DOMESTIC DATE IN BARONESS’ CURRENT SPRING TOUR SCHEDULE. DON’T MISS IT!!!

Grab your tickets here

Baroness’ triumphant new album contains some of the biggest, brightest and most glorious riffs and choruses the adventurous rock group has ever recorded. But its title, Purple, also reflects a dark moment in the group’s recent history: the terrifying bus crash they survived while on tour in 2012. “The band suffered a gigantic bruise,” singer-guitarist John Baizley says of the accident. “It was an injury that prevented us from operating in a normal way for quite some time. Hopefully, this record is the springboard that helps us get away from all that.”

Bluejacket: Bluejacket & Friends Part 1, Creature Comforts

  • Bluejacket

This April, Bluejacket is celebrating the Craft Brewer’s Conference by hosting some of their closest friends in the Bluejacket tasting room. They kick things off on Monday, April 10th by showcasing 6 exceptional beers from Creature Comforts Brewing!

Since opening their doors in May 2014, Creature Comforts has shown a devotion to creativity and innovation. It is this passion that has driven them the top of the Georgia craft beer scene.

Highlights from the evening’s list include Transmission, a mixed-fermentation citrus Saison brewed in collaboration with Arizona Wilderness; and Double Koko Buni, an Imperial Milk Porter brewed with toasted coconut, coffee beans, vanilla and cocoa nibs.

There is no admission fee for this event. All Creature Comfort beers will be available in the tasting room. Beers will be priced individually by the glass and in 4 oz. tasting pours.
